At Sheehy Auto Stores, community is at the heart of everything we do.
Each year, from May through June, our dealerships across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. come together for Sheehy Has Heart—a two-month initiative supporting the American Heart Association (AHA) and its mission to fight heart disease and stroke.
What began as a simple idea has grown into a powerful, companywide movement, uniting employees, customers, and communities in a shared commitment to saving lives and improving heart health across the Mid-Atlantic.
In the most recent campaign, Sheehy Auto Stores raised $351,000, contributing to a total of more than $3.3 million since 2014. These funds directly support critical research, education, and prevention programs that are helping individuals and families live longer, healthier lives.
Across all dealerships, teams came together in inspiring ways—hosting community events, participating in Heart Walks, supporting Go Red for Women, leading wellness initiatives, and engaging customers in meaningful, mission-driven efforts.
“Each year, our employees, customers, and partners rally together to make a meaningful difference for families affected by heart disease. We’re proud to champion this cause and are committed to advancing the American Heart Association’s lifesaving mission.”
— Vince Sheehy, President, Sheehy Auto Stores
Every action, every event, and every dollar contributed played a role in advancing the fight against heart disease.

As part of the American Heart Association’s #MoveMore Challenge, team members across our dealerships took part in a companywide Pedometer Challenge—encouraging simple, daily steps toward healthier hearts.
Together, associates logged an incredible 1,093,099 steps—the equivalent of walking from Washington, D.C. to Detroit—surpassing last year’s total by more than 52,000 steps.
The Pedometer Challenge was just one example of the many ways our teams embraced wellness throughout the campaign—bringing energy, camaraderie, and purpose to every step.
That momentum is already underway for 2026, with this year’s campaign kicking off on April 1 in celebration of National Walking Day—bringing employees and community members together to take steps toward better heart health. And this is just the beginning—stay tuned for what’s ahead this year!
Sheehy Has Heart is part of Sheehy Cares, the company’s broader commitment to giving back and strengthening the communities it serves.
In 2025, Sheehy Cares contributed more than $1 million to charitable causes, with more than $40 million donated over the years—a reflection of a deep-rooted belief that strong communities start with meaningful investment and connection.
“The Sheehy Has Heart sales event is a true team effort. Thanks to the commitment of employees, vendors, and customers, more than $3 million has been raised—supporting lifesaving work in blood pressure management, healthy food access, and CPR training. We’re incredibly grateful.”
— Soula Antoniou, Executive Director, AHA Greater Washington Region
As Sheehy celebrates its 60th year, this year’s Sheehy Has Heart campaign will be guided by a simple idea: 60 years. 60 days. Countless ways to give back.
For two months, the campaign will spotlight daily opportunities for impact—bringing together employees, customers, and communities through wellness, generosity, and shared purpose.
Together, these efforts will honor six decades of commitment while helping shape a healthier future for the communities we serve.
